We have received news from MCU and Cricket Ireland that we can return to training, for a return to training having met the necessary protocols. Big thank you to Dan, Ben, Michael, Suzanne, Paddy and Renny who helped get the club ready.
The main reason why these protocols are in place is to keep us all safe, minimise risk of infection and enable contact tracing to work if someone has fallen ill. So here’s what you need to know:
Lismore Cricket Club are proud to unveil their new league and cup jerseys –
Designed by Club Member Dan Dixon (http://www.dandixondesign.com/) the Jersey sport our new Club Logo, with our iconic Lismore Blue Emblem. The Jerseys are now available in our regular white, and the new colour T20 one will be available shortly.
With COVID restrictions, we are are only going to get a limited amount of Cricket in this year, if any at all. This means that activity and participate around the club has been non existent up until the end of may and will be reduced for the remainder of the summer months. As a result, we have not had the opportunity to collect membership and match fees from everyone.
With a lot of people on a reduced working schedule, we recognise those additional financial difficulties. However costs of running the club still remain, with spending on insurance, grounds maintenance and upgrading the club house to make it suitable for COVID guidelines that may be put in place. We thank all members who have paid memberships already and encourage all other members to support the club over the coming season.
We are proud to announce that we are hosting a Cricket Easter Camp on the Monday 15th April with Kevin O’Brien.
The club’s annual general meeting will be held in the Red House on Friday 8th February, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
