Hi Gerry. Thanks for getting in-touch. We’ve done some research and found some scorecards from that era (the truth is indeed more mundane). We’ll compile what we have from the scorebook covering the 1957 – 1959 seasons and let you know. If you’d like Micheal’s details to discuss them I can send them on.

Ben,
I recently came across your web page by a lucky accident. I was at school in Midleton College in the late 1950’s and one of the highlights of the summer term was the trip to Lismore to play cricket against you. I would like to think that I scored 100 and took 8 for 26 the truth I suspect is much more mundane. Very happy days. Wonderful to see you are still hard at it.

Incidentally, I’m glad that I managed to salvage this article after last year’s events. Tom Norris, in his efforts as Chairman for 2017 proceeded to destroy much of the club’s heritage (and nearly the club itself) in his efforts. This bat, along with the bat rack, the old notice boards, some equipment were all thrown out or burnt on a bonfire. The place was left a building site when he left without word in September 2017.

The club members are still picking up the pieces and trying to get the Club back on its feet and regain some of the progress that had been made in recent years. We are not out of the woods yet, but hopefully will be soon.
